Emoting lets you describe actions in-scene, with viewer-aware names/sdescs.
Usage:
emote <text>
:<text>
;<text> - no space after your name (possessive style)
emote/no <text> - same no-space behavior as ';'
emote/noprefix <text> - same no-space behavior as ';'
Examples:
emote waves.
:smiles at @testchar
;'s smile deepens.
Private emotes:
pemote <target>[,target2,...] [=] <emote>
private <target>[,target2,...] [=] <emote>
pmote <target>[,target2,...] [=] <emote>
Private emote behavior:
- Targets and you see: (Private) <emote>
- Others in room see: <name> shares a private moment with <target list>.
Local emotes (place-only):
local <emote>
lemote <emote>
subtle <emote>
Local emote behavior:
- Only people at your current place (and you) see: (Local) <emote>
- Others in room see: <name> shares a moment <at place>.
- You must be at a place to use local emote.
Self references:
@me or /me - your name/sdesc
@my or /my - smart possessive of your name/sdesc
Notes:
- Use `say` for direct speech and `say to` for addressed speech.
- Use `pemote` for private action and `local` for place-only action.
- Speech inside emotes still depends on whether your character can speak.
